We are delighted to be working with one of our highly respected clients located in the Preston area,who are resourcing for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their existing team.

This is a excellent opportunity to work within a company who are highly recognised. My client is looking for a new payroll member to join their existing team this on a 18 month fixed term contract.Your responsibility as the Payroll Administrator will beto provide support to the Payroll Manager whilst ensuring and overseeing the smooth running of all accounting procedures and the effective and efficient running of the monthly payroll

**Key responsibilities**:

- Running monthly payroll including sending the BACS and RTI file.
- Reconciling the payroll Pension Payroll
- Assisting with the annual pension increase exercise
- Raising deduction cheques and PAYE payments to Inland Revenue.
- Ensure payroll manuals are updated regularly
- Maintains high quality payroll data on the pensions system and ensures regular validations are undertaken.
- Updating payroll with address, bank changes, savings and deductions.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations.
- Support the Annual Events & Project team with changes on the Pensions System
- Work in conjunction with the Annual Events & Project team to provide necessary administration support.

**criteria**:

- Must have previous administration experience, ideally within a payroll or pension
- A full understanding of daily, weekly and monthly activities
- Must be numerate and able to work to a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
- To be able to work on their own initiative, to be accurate and have attention to detail.
- To be able to deliver reports at requested deadlines.
- Ability to organise/prioritise work and identify business priorities using own initiative
- Must be proficient in Microsoft, Excel and Word
- Must be resilient and flexible
