We are currently seeking a skilled Caretaker to join our team at a reputable school in Blackburn. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth running and maintenance of our school premises.

**Location: Blackburn, United Kingdom**

**Salary: £11.05 per hour**

**Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm**

**Weekly Pay (Fridays)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and security of the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, offices, and outdoor areas.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and basic plumbing.
- Monitor heating, ventilation, and electrical systems to ensure their proper functioning.
- Assist in setting up and arranging furniture and equipment for various school events and activities.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment, and reorder items as necessary.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve any issues efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and address them accordingly.
- Collaborate with staff, contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide assistance during emergency situations, following established protocols.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Caretaker or in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques and maintenance procedures.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
- Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
