The Martin Residential Trust is a small charitable organisation which provides loving care to 18 people with profound learning disabilities within a specialist nursing home in Glengormley.

We wish to employ an experienced Laundry Assistant to help with the laundry duties within our Home. The hours for this post are 20 hours per week (4 x 5 hours shifts, 9am to 2pm on a 7 day rota basis which will include working every other weekend)

The role of the Laundry Assistant is to ensure that all laundry duties are carried out in an efficient and timely manner and to the highest standard at all times and also to help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for all our Residents. Duties include washing, drying, ironing and distributing laundry around the Home and keeping the laundry room clean and tidy.

Good communication and team working skills are essential. The successful applicant will be required to provide two satisfactory references and an enhanced background check from Access NI.

Laundry experience within a care setting an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given to caring, enthusiastic, motivated individuals.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Start rate of £11.00 per hour increasing to £11.51 after completion of probationary period.
