We're looking for an experienced communicator with a passion for internal communications.

You will be responsible for the long term planning and daily management of our core internal communications channels and resources; Connect (intranet), CUH bulletin and staff Facebook group.

Main duties of the job

Produce a high quality internal digital newsletter.

Manage the CUH intranet - ensuring it provides relevant and timely information for staff.

Manage the Staff Facebook group community.

Advise on appropriate content and channels based on audience insight and Trust/Communications priorities.

Review processes and procedures and make recommendations for service improvements.

Analyse data and provide recommendations for service improvements.

**Qualifications**:
Essential criteria

Educated to degree level or having gained equivalent relevant experience and/or equivalent level of skills or experience plus training and/or experience in the communications field to degree-level equivalent.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.Desirable criteria

Either an under-graduate or post-graduate qualification in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or related field.

Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing or Public Relations.
- A post-graduate period of training in internal communications.Experience

Essential criteria

Substantive experience of developing and editing content for websites, intranets, newsletters and other digital channels.

Substantive experience of working within style and corporate identity guidelines.

Substantive experience of producing internal communications content.

Demonstrable experience of working on successful internal and/or external campaigns and projects linked to an organisation’s strategic aims and priorities.

Substantive experience of working with a wide range of people, from different backgrounds, of varying seniority - advising and influencing on communications content and channels.

Experience of managing and influencing stakeholders of varying levels of seniority.

Substantive experience of using website content management systems.
- Experience of managing third party suppliers to deliver on time and on budget.Desirable criteria
- Experience of developing internal communications channels for hard to reach audiences.Knowledge

Essential criteria

Knowledge and understanding of health policies and the wider context in which the Trust operates.

Understanding of best practice with respect to implementing corporate identity guidelines and style guides in a complex organisation.

Knowledge of the techniques of stakeholder mapping, measurement and evaluation.

Knowledge and understanding of how messages land with different audiences and all levels of staff, and how to adjust approach accordingly.
