Cambion Electronics are a high-end, AS 9100-accredited, precision manufacturer with substantial track record in aerospace, military, industrial, medical, petrochemical, instrumentation and industrial markets. Customer quality is at the heart of everything we do.

**Role Scope**:
1. To control and monitor all company purchasing activities in line with company business plans including preparation of all purchase orders generated within the company and control and issue of all purchase requisitions, including import/export customs declarations

2. To establish and maintain purchasing records and systems compatible with overall company objectives in the control of financial expenditure and the overall utilisation of plant, equipment and employees in production programmes necessary to support sales/shipment programmes

3. To devise, implement and control improved methods of materials management thereby ensuring the effective acquisition and utilisation of materials

4. To vett and approve all suppliers in conjunction with Quality Assurance

5. To undertake day to day negotiation on pricing from suppliers of products and services

6. To monitor all purchases against approved budgets

7. To devise and recommend recovery strategies in purchasing activities to overcome deviations from overall business plans

8. To prepare business reports on purchasing activity for management as required

9. To control the sale and disposal of scrap materials

10. To control personnel transport arrangements and associated administration of company transport vehicles

**Person specification**:
You will be confident working independently and have a proven track record in the aspects of this role. You will also be a good communicator to the wider team as interaction with other departments is essential.

You must be motivated with a positive “can do” attitude, and adhere to internal controls and procedures.
