**Key responsibilities**
**Food Safety**
- Supporting the Quality Systems Manager in the sites HACCP, TACCP and VACCP programme
- Working closely with the Quality Systems Manager and Hygiene Supervisor in the sites allergen management programme
- Completion of food safety based risk assessments with the support of the Senior Food Safety and Quality Manager.
- Completion of Weekly, Monthly and Annual food safety KPI’s
**Audits**
- Lead the sites internal, external audits and visits, including 3rd party and customer
- Support the closure of non-conformances raised through external or customer audits.
**New product introduction and Recipe Changes**
- Ensure the smooth and successful introduction of new and amended recipes to site, working closely with the Quality Systems Manager to ensure all pre-requisites have been completed prior to trials
- Effectively manage any BOM or material changes in line with customer requirements
**Control of Products**
- Manage the process for any Shelf life extension requests and concessions, both for raw materials and finished product.
- Ensuring retained samples and micro samples are managed effectively
- Manage the process for the release of all raw materials and finished products
**Ensure the quality of product produced meets our specifications by (but not limited to)**:
- Ensuring sensory evaluation of product is completed
- QC checks are completed and accurately recorded in accordance to the procedure
- Microbiological and chemical testing is completed for non-batch and by batch customer requirements
**Good Manufacturing Practices**
- Working closely cross functionally to drive improvements in factory standards
- Ensuring the production teams understand the required standard within the production and associated areas
**Incident and Crisis Management**
- Support the Quality teams in the investigation and resolution of issues raised.
- Manage incidents with the support of the Senior Food Safety and Quality Manager
- Support the Quality Systems Manager in the completion of regular mock recalls; as described in the Kerry Manufacturing Standard
**Complaint Management**
- Manage complaints investigations
- Support other functions in the investigation and root cause of issues raised by customers
**Change Management**
- Ensure the change requests issued by Quality function are followed through to completion
**Non-Conforming Products**
- Support the Quality team in decision making of product that is outside of the specified limits
- Report KPI’s to internal and central functions as required
**Managing People**
- Conduct appraisals and regular 121 sessions with direct reports to support, coach and develop. You will also be responsible for absence requests, disciplinaries in-line with Kerry Policies and Procedures.
**Project Management**
- Lead projects that are relating to Food Safety and Quality
- Develop projects that are significant in the continuous improvement of the site.
**Qualifications and skills**
- Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data
- Fluency of English language
- Food manufacturing experience
**Skills**
- Has a data based approach to decision making
- Proficient in the use of MS Office tools.
- Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems in both low/high care food manufacturing environments.
- Ability to solve problems using 8 Step Practical Problem Solving
- Behavioural
- Highly self-motivated showing strong self-discipline and a structured approach to practices & improvements
- Flexible - enabling the person to investigate activities throughout the cycle of the factory.
- The ability to identify, create local strategy and actively deliver improvements.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to be successful in a changing environment
- Proven ability to deliver via teams at a Cross-Site Managerial Level
