Sales Administrator

The company are a well-established UK manufacturing company who have been trading since 1982 designing and producing steel office furniture. A family run firm, who boasts impressive credibility holding the ‘Bespoke Design Guild Mark’ and also ISO certification in quality control and environmental management. The company have an impressive factory with state of the art facilities.
Working as part of a friendly and professional team, you will play an important role in the day to day sales and operations of the business. Duties will include:
- Processing of client orders using the internal MRP system
- Able to prepare and follow up on sales quotations produced for clients in support of the sales and business development managers when required
- Regular contract operations teams to ensure products are delivered to meet client requirements, as agreed with the sales and business manager
- Dealing with inbound sales calls, distributing sales documentation and inputting sales data where required
- Planning of delivery routes to optimise efficiency control/ minimise carriage cots
- Liaising with logistics partners within the UK in order to schedule, book and monitor deliveries ensuring goods arrive on time
- Regular use of the internal MRP system in order to retrieve information for our clients order status
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure all necessary information is received to complete daily tasks to the best of your ability.
- Outstanding communication and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to respond quickly and efficiently to situations requiring urgent action
- Able to learn new skills and quickly demonstrate a desire to succeed in the role
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines from both a sales, manufacturing and logistics perspective as required
- Strong understanding and use of the MS Office suite including outlook, Word and Excel
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work on own initiative and manage workload across sales, order processing and potentially logistics duties successfully
- Excellent customer service skills and taking ownership of the sales process from quotation to delivery
- Ideally previous experience within an internal sales role is preferred.
In return a competitive salary is offered, that is negotiable depending on experience.
