Haematology and Oncology

Based at Lincoln but providing a Trust Wide service

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Haematology Chemotherapy Team working as a Trust Wide Waiting List Clerk.

Your role will entail managing the day to day running of the waiting lists, ensuring chemotherapy lists are booked to the required parameters where you will work closely with the business units, chemotherapy schedulers and the chemotherapy units, along with others, to ensure the patients journey during their treatment is a smooth as possible.

To facilitate an efficient, effective and responsive administrative support and maintenance of waiting lists.

To ensure patients receive appointments in line with all National, Trust and in-house policies.

To maintain a high standard of quality in providing the Choice & Access Service, supporting patient’s, clinical staff and the Trust in achieving their goals.

To produce high quality patient information for the Trust to enable maximum use of resources and to support service level agreements and planning of future service.

The main duties will be to assist the Trust in providing patients with their Haematological treatment start dates for our patients across the county, achieving Choice & Access targets by ensuring the RTT codes are accurately recorded and taking instruction from the Chemotherapy Schedulers / Business Unit / CNSs as to which patients to book in priority order.

You will ensure patients receive all relevant information in a timely and effective way and work with the teams to ensure that we are working in line with the current COVID restrictions.

You will ensure all data relating to patients is captured in a timely and accurate manner whilst maintaining data protection guidelines.
