- In the Assistant Payment Coordinator job, you will be:
- Maximising income to the organisation through debts, rents, service charges and other payments, ensuring prompt payment of monies due and assisting tenants with budgeting support, and housing and benefit related queries
- Managing arrears cases for lower-level arrears and supporting tenants where applicable to ensure Housing Benefit or Universal Credit payments are in place without delay
- Promoting the use of digital payments as a first option including direct debit, standing orders, payment line and online portal
- Liaising with other team members highlighting concerns in relation to safeguarding
- Undertaking home visits to tenants in arrears as and when required by request of Income Recovery Officer
- Carry out such other duties and responsibilities consistent with the level of responsibility of the post
- To be considered for the Assistant Payment Coordinator job you must have:
- Full UK driving licence with access to vehicle
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment
- Strong administration, data handling and IT skills including Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills
- An ability to defuse conflict and deal with difficult situations
- Decision making, communication and problem solving abilities
- This is a 6 month fixed term contract, working full time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and you'll be based in offices in Abergele.- In return, you will receive an annual salary of £23,772 - £26,036 depending on skills and experience PLUS company benefits.If you are a determined individual looking for your next challenge then we would love to hear from you today
