**We're on the lookout for an energetic and compassionate female support worker to assist a woman with Cerebral Palsy within her home and out in the community. You will make a difference in her life by helping her participate in activities, provide personal care, make meals, and drive her to appointments. The role is based in Central Newcastle.**
- In line with the Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOQ) this role is open exclusively to women_

**Hours**: Full time (approx. 32 waking hours per week and 2x 8hr sleep-ins), shift pattern will be 2x 24 hour shifts 9:30am - 9:30am with sleep in from midnight - 8am.

**Pay Rate**:£11.50 per hour during weekdays, £12.50 per hour on weekends and £23 per hour for bank holidays. £65 for a 8 hour sleep-in.

**Client Details**: The client is a woman who has Cerebral Palsy but has capacity, is verbal and is self directed (has pursued higher education). She enjoys an oral diet, doesn't explicitly require moving an handling but may need supporting on stairs. She requires support with personal care and requires driving to her appointments. The role will be supporting her to achieve her full potential and access the community.

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver's license and comfortable driving the client's car
- Strong communication, patience, flexibility
- Willing to support a self directed individual (the client has capacity doesn't wish to be told what to do, instead to be supported)
- Non smoker

**Preferences**:

- Experience working with individuals with disabilities such as cerebra palsy, and brain injury preferred
- Experience working within someone else's home

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.50-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 24 per week
