**Compliance Officer**

**Monday to Friday - 09.00-17.30**

**Remote working - Must live close to London or Kent for monthly meetings.**

**Salary £30,000- £32,000 DOE + generous benefits**

**Job Purpose**

**To provide support and ensure the highest levels of compliance and GDPR are maintained, corporate compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and code of practice. Acting a first line of support for compliance related queries.**
- Support development and delivery of the annual compliance monitoring plan taking into account risk management priorities and the work of internal and external auditors
- Review and prepare the risk registers for senior stakeholders
- Manage day to day data protection/ freedom of information requirements including responding to and tracking individual rights requests from customers and providing first point of contact for queries from colleagues
- update and develop data protection policy and process including review of privacy notices and processing statements and undertake data mapping exercises.
- conduct appropriate due diligence where required for contractual arrangements
- Maintain an effective filing system for the legal contracts
- Managing the docusign process for issuing contracts
- Produce reports of your areas of work on an agreed basis

**What do you need to be successful?**
- Degree qualified and experience in a similar or related role or a proven track record in a related role
- Good knowledge of the data protection act 2018 and or GDPR
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks including risk registers
- Knowledge of freedom of information requests
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem solving capability
- Sensitivity to difficult and challenging circumstances
- Competent user of Microsoft office
- Experience of supporting drafting and review of contracts
