We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Cancer Support Specialist to join the team at our Lanarkshire centre in Airdrie.

You will have a warm empathic manner and enthusiasm and willingness to develop skills of providing cancer support in an innovative programme that integrates contributions from a range of professional disciplines.

You will have a nursing degree (or equivalent training), current state registration and at least three years' post-qualification experience within an oncology nursing or related setting. A post-graduate qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous.

You will be emotionally sensitive yet resilient, organised, and able to manage the demands of ongoing emotionally intense work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help individuals, families and groups engage with, and utilise, Maggie’s psychosocial programme of support through ongoing work with them.
- Provide person-focused, care support and a commitment to working as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure appropriate internal referrals of centre visitors.
- Lead on delegated aspects of facilitated psychosocial and psychoeducational components of Maggie's programme.
