**Job Purpose**:
As the UKs largest Gas Distribution Network, with more than 11 million customers and a sector-leading social impact and customer vulnerability programme, we have an important story to tell.

The new Corporate PR Specialist will provide outstanding B2B and B2C PR, media and communications support, working as a key part of the External Communications, Social Impact and Sustainability team.

In this role, we want you to help shape and deliver the corporate PR programme, ensuring maximum effectiveness and engagement across key target audiences. Using your skills, you will develop and drive proactive PR results, mainly focused on amplifying our _Force for Good_ strategy and actively seeking creative approaches to share our vulnerability initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:
You will be a key player in helping ensure our story is front of mind, results-driven while helping to both promote and protect the brand.
- Lead on the creation and delivery of impactful and strategic communications plans, helping to build the Cadent brand, raising awareness, maximising reputation and positioning us positively within local and national communities.
- Translating corporate strategy into compelling news and reputation building opportunities.
- Lead and deliver creative work and results that exceed expectations, with expertise, strong attention to detail and impact.
- Support in managing PR agencies.
- Raise awareness of the important work of our Cadent Foundation and customer vulnerability teams.
- Assist the external communications team with crisis communications support when needed.
- Be inquisitive and creative, with an interest in continually developing and evolving skill set.
- Proactively deliver brilliant customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Educated to degree level, with demonstrable PR success across multiple B2C and B2B brands, particularly within the social impact space.
- Strong agency management experience.
- Good understanding of key PR tools such as media monitoring, media databases, journalist enquiry services, social media management tools and basic social media graphic tools such as Hootsuite and Canva.
- A solid understanding of the key social media channels.
- Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Organised, with ability to manage and prioritise complex workloads with competing deadlines and short timescales.
- Ability to work well in a high-pressure crisis environment.
- Proactive and personable approach to be a trusted representative.
