**Title: SDS Author / IT Maintenance Technician**

The Best Connection are currently seeking IT workers for Creation and Maintenance of **Safety Data Sheets (SDS)** allowing safe and compliant marketing and use of products.

This role is **Hybrid **and will involve working from home 2/3 days a week. **Immediate starts available.**

Main Responsibilities:

- Assistance with the update of safety data on the SDS Software
- Coordination of the issue of Safety Data Sheets within agreed timescales
- Coordination of the issue of Poison Centre Notification dossiers to the ECHA Notification Portal
- Update of Safety Data Documents for own branded and multi-sourced products
- Revision of European generated SDS
- Liaison with suppliers to resolve issues on classification differences of similar products
- Maintenance of the Company SDS Library
- Development of exposure scenarios where required for ESDS
- Utilise departmental IT resources effectively
- Comply with safety notices
- Comply with all Quality procedures
- Co-operate on all matters concerned with any health, safety, training, legislative and environmental matters
- Support Product Stewardship Projects where required

Key Measures:

- The timely update of SDS to CLP rules
- The quality and accuracy of Safety Data Documents
- The timely introduction of SDS for new and amended products
- The availability of European SDS & ESDS
- The level of co-operation achieved with customers and third party personnel
- Compliance to all Company procedures and legislative requirements
- The achievement of zero accidents associated with Health and Safety issues

Hours of work:

- Monday to Friday
- 37 hours to be completed between 8am and 5pm
- 2 days in the office, 3 days from home (Laptop provided)
- Flexible working time

Pay Rates:

- £16.48 per hour - £20.32 per hour (depending on experience)
- Individual pay rates will be discussed with applicants following a review of their experience
