Title: SDS Author (Trainee) / IT Maintenance Technician

The Best Connection are currently seeking IT workers who are willing to learn Creation and Maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) at a trainee level, allowing safe and compliant marketing and use of products.

This role is Hybrid and will involve working from home 2/3 days a week. Immediate starts available.

Main Responsibilities:

Assistance with the update of safety data on the SDS Software
Coordination of the issue of Safety Data Sheets within timescales.
Updating of Safety Data Documents
Assisting to liaise with suppliers to resolve issues
Maintenance of the Company SDS Library
Development of exposure scenarios where required
Utilise IT resources effectively
Comply with safety notices
Comply with all Quality procedures
Co-operate on all matters concerned with any health, safety, training, legislative and environmental matters
Support Product Stewardship Projects where required

The timely update of SDS
The quality and accuracy of Safety Data Documents
The level of co-operation achieved with customers and third party personnel
Compliance to all Company procedures and legislation

Making sure we do everything with Safety and Integrity
Cooperation with business stakeholders to ensure complete and accurate safety data

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday
37 hours to be completed between 8am and 5pm
2 days in the office, 3 days from home (Laptop provided)
Flexible working time

Pay Rates:

£12.36 per hour - £14.01 per hour (depending on experience)
Individual pay rates will be discussed with applicants following a review of their experience
