We have a fantastic opportunity for a Consents Placement to join our talented Consents team. The core purpose of the role is to assist the Consents Manager to secure accurate information, track commitments and actions, input data, and submit information to external bodies in a timely manner, requiring effective project management skills.

You’ll also shall assist with the creation and compilation of reports required by the business and projects in line with the required timescales.

Key to the role is working closely with other teams across the Align Joint Venture to secure accurate information (on design and construction methods), track commitments and actions, input data, and submit information to external bodies in a timely manner, requiring effective project management skills. The role holder will gain knowledge of relevant environmental legislation for water, waste, dust, noise, ecology and heritage; and Town Planning and Transport policy and guidance.

The individual will work within the Align Joint Ventures environment team and provide support to all members of this team, this will range from assisting in developing environmental reports, data collection, admin support, assisting with on site inspections and attending site coordination meetings.

In the context of UK environmental law and HS2 Ltd obligations and requirements, Align has developed a framework of environmental management provisions that the role holder will support the continuing improvement and implementation of. The successful applicant will therefore gain a comprehensive understanding of how a major infrastructure project effectively manages its environmental risks and responsibilities and in so doing secures/protects its own reputation and that of the client.

The
**Consents Placement** will be responsible for:

- data collation, management and reporting
- document/records management
- managing internal and external communications; likely to include between environmental, design, consents and construction teams and potentially with regulators
- undertaking some site activities in support of site environmental managers
- A background/interest in environmental planning / sciences
- An interest major infrastructure project
- Good IT skills
- Evidence of team working skills
- Good project management skills
- An ability to take initiative,
- An ability to find solutions
- An ability to work independently.

**Salary** - Competitive salary

**Hours - **40 hours per week, 26 days holiday per year
