Buyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join a well-established, growing business at their site in Crowle. This is a permanent, full-time role with a salary of £25,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
**As Buyer, your responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and creating relationships with key suppliers
- Utilising and managing the RFQ process for cost efficiencies
- Implementing, maintaining, and reviewing supplier contracts and standards
- Setting up a supplier risk database
- Driving supply chain environmental, social and governance decisions
- Regularly monitoring supplier, product and service performance and seeking improvements where necessary
- Maintaining an effective company terms and conditions of purchase and ensuring compliance with company health and safety and environmental procedures
- Sourcing new products, services, and suppliers with a view to obtaining improvements in reliability, efficiency and waste reduction
- Maintaining and improving cost-effective purchasing and procurement systems and procedures
- Ensuring effective stock management

**We are looking for a Buyer who has the following skills and experiences**:

- Previous purchasing experience within the manufacturing sector
- The ability to communicate at all levels, written and verbal
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organisational and negotiation skills
- Qualifications at level 5 CIPS preferred, although not essential
