**About us**

We are a family run and owned dairy farm

We run herd of 240 tight autumn block calving NZ Friesian cows. Maximizing production from grazed grass, grazing March to November, wintered on self feed silage. Youngstock and followers are partially contract reared on a neighbouring farm. Milking is through a modern 14/28 herringbone.

We are looking for a herdsperson to work closely with the farm owners to maintain good cow welfare and hygiene. Daily **responsibilities are as follows**:
Milking, day to day responsibility for the milking herd

Record keeping

Grassland management and allocation

Some basic tractor work an general farm tasks

Further training is encouraged and supported by the employer. Membership and attendance of discussion groups is undertaken and also encouraged to farm employees

45 hour, 5 day working week

28 holiday entitlement

3 bedroom house free from rent and council tax

Competitive salary based upon experience

**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sturminster Newton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
