We are looking for a highly skilled, passionate and committed systemic & Family Psychotherapist to join the WFCAMHS to provide a highly skilled systemic interventions to the young people of Waltham Forest and their families. The role is primarily to provide a specialist family therapy service to children and young people with mental health and behavioural problems across all sectors of care as part of a multi-disciplinary CAMHS service.

The post holder will provide specialist assessment and therapy to service users and their families/carers and advice and consultation on their care to non-family therapy colleagues and the professional network involved in their support.

The post holder will provide generic CAMHS assessment and intervention as well as providing specialist family therapy interventions and contribute to support plans for the care of children and young people including those with learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and looked after children.

The role will involve individual work, joint work, group work, as well as regular triage assessments.

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).
