Fundraising Coordinator

Job description
The role requires someone to be dynamic and a self-starter able to work on their own initiative with mínimal direction. Whilst maintaining a close working relationship with the Operations Manager you will be required to own duties and run with them, taking responsibility to solve problems and see tasks through to completion.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support other fundraising streams where time allows. This may include business giving, high net-worth individuals, online, events or other funding streams.
- Work with the Operations Manager and partners in Zimbabwe to develop new proposals.
- Work with the Operations Manager and partners in Zimbabwe to develop new budgets.
- Maintain records of possible funders, approaches made, funder preferences and other useful info.
- Perform periodic analysis of opportunities, successes and contribute to fundraising strategies.
- Record terms set by funders to ensure spending and reporting stays in line.
- Continue to encourage supporters to maintain their regular donations and inspire new supporters through relationship development.
- Other duties in support of general operations as required at the time.

**Skills, knowledge and experience**
**Essential**
- Demonstrably successful fundraising experience.
- Passionate about social justice and the work of ZET and our partners.
- Professional, enthusiastic and pro-active to work on own initiative.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, identifying opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to tailor information in compelling ways and towards the needs of varying audiences.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to build and manage mutually beneficial relationships.
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT literacy including MS Word and Internet with intermediate or higher level of MS Excel.
- Languages: English.
**Desirable**
- Experience of different methods of charity fundraising.
- Knowledge and understanding of international development.
- Basic budgeting and financial management skills.
