**OVERALL SCOPE & PURPOSE OF ROLE**
- The prime function of this role is to aid the operational productivity of the baked goods and its operating standards.
- Work alongside the Baker to manage the daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staffing and aiding menu preparation.
- Ensuring food quality and freshness is maintained through all production to the required specification.
- Monitoring the ordering of stock and stock control to ensure the department operates at the required set levels.
- Adhere to the company Food Safety Management System and Health & Safety Policy.
- Provides food quality and consistency by following signed off specification recipes.
- Any reasonable tasks as required around the business needs.

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**

**Assistant Baker Job Duties**:

- Kitchen production predominantly around baked goods.
- Ensures a first in - first out rotation system and checks all food is correctly dated, labeled and organised in line with food safety policy.
- Manages food and produce ordering with the Baker by keeping record of waste, stock holding.
- Supervises all section food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and set standards are achieved.
- Assists the Baker with future menu creations as needed for the business needs.
- Any reasonable tasks and duties as requested by your line managers around business needs.

**Personal Specification**
- Formal Bakery Training. (Essential)
- At Least 1 years’ kitchen/bakery experience. (Essential)
- Strong Organisational Skills.
- Flexibility
- Well presented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative
- Personable
- Self-Motivated.
- Highly developed attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure to deadlines whilst delivering numerous jobs on time and on budget
