Our client a is currently looking for a talented **Project Manager** to join their team. This is an exciting role with responsibility for managing all aspects of their projects, from scheduling and risk management through to project tracking and reporting.

The Project Manager will be to working closely with colleagues across the company and external partners to take their existing and developing technologies and translate these into commercial products for sale into several markets through multiple channels.Youwill also have responsibility for the management of projects relating to Manufacturing bring-up, site transfer and consolidation.

You have a minimum qualification of BEng or BSc, together with a formal Project Management qualification (e.g. APMP or PRINCE2) or equivalent experience.You have a technical science/engineering background and experience of new product development with ahigh science content, and releasing products to market.

Key Responsibilities

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Ensuring successful transfer from R&D prototype, through iterative product design to manufacture
- Long-term project planning and translation of project plans into realistic and achievable medium (and then short-term) delivery plans across teams
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation to comply with regulatory and organisational requirements including, but not limited to, ISO13485:2016
- Using appropriate verification techniques to manage change in project scope, schedule and cost
- Specifying statements of work and managing external contractors in conjunction with internal resource
- Working with other Project Managers to lead Sprint reviews/retrospectives and participate in SCRUMs
- Monthly project reporting showing actual versus plan to a range of internal and external stakeholders (including senior leaders, the Board and grant funding bodies)
- Ensuring resource availability and allocation across teams, effectively managing stakeholders with competing requirements
- Mitigate and manage risks including timely identification, resolution or escalation of issues as appropriate

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

**Essential skills**
- Ability to rapidly assimilate technical and scientific knowledge
- Proficient in working within a stage gated phase review NPI process
- Resourcefulness and ability to find solutions to challenges in a fast-paced, results-driven company
- Excellent communication with a key focus on coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
- Resilience and tenacity to see tasks through to their successful completion
- Ability to influence and promote accountability in others
- Well organised and detail-focused with the ability to prioritise and de-prioritise effectively to manage competing demands
- Ability to work effectively within an agile framework

**Essential experience**
- New product development with a high science content
- Working in a highly regulated industry within a process-driven environment
- Project management in an R&D and Professional setting
- Leading joint hardware and software development projects
- Proven track record of successfully scoping work, decision making and completing tasks to deadline

**Desirable experience**
- Working in a Medical Device industry
- Taking products through to successful early market launch
- Working with external bodies (e.g. grant funding bodies, academic collaborators or commercial partners)
