Human Resources and Health and Safety Administrator

A new and exciting opportunity has opened at Hoxton Bakehouse in our HR team. We are seeking someone who is passionate about what they do. You will be part of a friendly, hardworking, awesome team based in our Bakery near the docks in Southampton.

- Excellent communication skills

- Self-motivated, able to use initiative to prioritise, problem solve and make decisions
- Attention to detail
- Ability to remain positive and calm under pressure, whilst meeting deadlines
A bit about the role:
- Point of contact for HR, Payroll and Training queries
- Work alongside the HR Officer to create and administer a Companywide training program
- Assisting with recruitment including posting of jobs, creating offers of employment and contracts of employment
- Administering HR processes including but not limited to absence management and performance reviews.
- Assisting with updating and maintaining H&S records
- Co-ordinating the maintenance schedule for items such as emergency lighting, fire system, and boiler services
- Assisting in growing a strong health and safety culture
- This role is initially for 16 hours a week, with potential to increase hours.
- Working days and times are flexible around business need and will be agreed prior to start of employment.
Hoxton Bakehouse sells our own delicious Handmade Artisan Pastries, Sourdough Bread and Seadog Coffee, all made, baked and roasted at our Bakery/Coffee Roastery in Southampton. We have six established stores across Hampshire, the New Forest and West Sussex as well as an ever-expanding wholesale business covering Hampshire, Dorset, and Surrey.
