**Location**: Kilsyth Area, UK

**Shift Schedule**: Two 24-hour shifts per week including sleepover

**About the Role**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide personal care and support to the young man according to his individual needs and preferences.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, grooming, and medication management.
- Engage the individual in recreational and leisure activities to promote social interaction and personal development.
- Monitor and respond to any signs of distress or medical emergencies, particularly related to epilepsy.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for the individual, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the individual, their family members, and other healthcare professionals involved in their care.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 6 months of recent experience in the care sector in the UK, preferably working with individuals with autism and epilepsy.
- Knowledge of best practices in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder and epilepsy.
- Understanding of person-centered care principles and a commitment to promoting independence and dignity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to caregiving.
- Flexibility to work according to the assigned shift schedule, including overnight stays.
- MUST BE A DRIVER WITH ACSESS TO A CAR*
