As a BritNed Asset and Operations Technical Assistant, you'll support the whole Operational team based at the Isle of Grain to manage the asset safely. This role also offers excellent exposure as part of the BritNed on-call operational management team, providing out-of-hours assistance to BritNed customers and colleagues, on a rota basis. You'll join a team of passionate, purpose-driven people committed to making a difference today and in the future by making the energy system better for everyone.
**This role is based from the Isle of Grain, Kent, and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.**
**Key accountabilities**:
- Supporting BritNed’s Asset Operations and Maintenance Manager and the leadership team to deliver the key projects on time, within budget and at high quality.
- Be the main point of contact of the team regarding several technical process, including spares contract management.
- Be the point of contact for external stakeholder liaison.
- Ensure the successful performance of BritNed operational activities, support the team’s culture to the benefit of all and deliver on agreed improvement initiatives.
- Share on-call activities as part of BritNed operational management team.
**About you**:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of gaining a high degree of credibility and influencing with stakeholders, particularly helping manage 3rd parties.
- Experience in setting up and supporting projects.
- Experience in developing project documentation.
- Experience in basic technical analysis.
- Experience supporting Project or Programme Managers would be beneficial
