**Rate of pay**:£20,667 per annum / £12.42 per hour (cost of living & pay scale increases offered annually)

**Hours**:32 hours per week (Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat (9:15am - 4:15pm & Thursday 9:15am-6:15pm)

**Based**:Remake Scotland, Unit 2, Muthill Road, Crieff

**Duration**:Permanent

**Holiday Entitlement**:237 hours per year (including public/bank holidays)

Remake Scotland seeks to appoint a Deputy Reuse Hub Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation of our Reuse Hub. The post will principally focus on maximising landfill diversion, ensuring that as many items as possible are made available for community reuse. The post holder will be responsible for quality and standards administration to ensure donated items meet safety regulations and will undertake collections and deliveries of donated goods. They will also support with coordination of Reuse Hub staff and volunteers, with the processing and pricing of items and with visual merchandising of the Reuse Hub.

We uphold this vision by supporting, supplying, and inspiring sustainable living through our Reuse Hub based at Crieff Visitor Centre. Our Reuse Hub offers an Aladdin’s cave of second-hand goods, including craft supplies, tools, têxtiles, furniture, homeware, and vintage items. It also houses our community tool library and our reuse and repair workshops.

Remake is supported by volunteers from a variety of ages, abilities, and backgrounds. We focus on promoting intergenerational community building and skills sharing.

**Duties & Key Responsibilities**
- Management of the Reuse Hub on a Saturday and line management of Saturday based Reuse Hub Assistant(s).
- Supporting Remake in successfully extending opening hours to include a Tuesday & Wednesday.
- Supporting Remake in the collection, sorting, weighing & pricing of donated goods ensuring that relevant regulations and reuse legislation is met.
- Curating the Reuse Hub and eBay shop to ensure they have an interesting range of high quality, safety checked items for sale.
- Ensuring that Remake is commercially presented to generate customer appeal and to support our strategic goals related to promoting reuse in our community, increasing landfill diversion and supporting income growth.
- Providing exemplary customers service to maintain our high standards of courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service in person, online, by social media and phone.
- Supporting Remake’s strategy through the support of its projects and deliverables including our Community Tool Library and Volunteer Programme.
- Building and and maintaining good relations with the public, local partners, and community groups to promote Remake as first choice for second hand.
- Routinely undertaking physical work involving lifting, handling, and moving of heavy items. The physical aspects of the work are an integral part of the job and require the post holder to be fit and active.
- Responsibility for processing payments, promoting Gift Aid sign up and accurately recording claimable Gift Aid using our till system.
- Supporting the delivery and collection of donations by driving the Remake van to households and to our Reuse Container at Crieff Recycling Centre.
- Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to Health and Safety policies, ensuring all areas are kept clean & orderly.
- You’ll need to be able to work evenings and weekends (currently Thursday evening & Saturday day-time), including on and offsite to meet business requirements.
- Any other reasonable duties to meet Remake’s business requirements.

**Person Specification**:
Essential Skills:

- A commitment to Remake’s environmental aims and ethos
- Retail experience and experience of visual merchandising
- The ability to work well within a team and with supported volunteers
- The ability to use your own initiative and problem solve effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks
- Good attention to detail
- IT Skills and proficiency with Office 365
- Full, clean drivers’ licence
- The ability to manage an active role involving manual handling

Desirable Skills:

- Experience within the reuse or second-hand sectors.
- Knowledge of antiques and collectables
- Experience of working with young people and volunteers
- Experience of social media content creation
- Knowledge of the local community and community partners
- Manual handling experience
