**Main Purpose**

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Food Service Worker at 421 Air Base Squadron, Royal Air Force Menwith Hill, United Kingdom.

The purpose of this position is to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and food items from a coffee shop/food service operation and perform cashier duties.

The incumbent will utilize safety and sanitation practices, rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

**Knowledge and Experience Required**
- Applicants must demonstrate the following:_

1. Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar food activity.

2. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, and do simple arithmetic.

3. Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment, characteristics of various foods, and the ability to season food and decide when foods are done is required.

**Other significant facts pertaining to this position are**:
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.

Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.

Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.

Emergency overtime may be required.

May be required to work rotating shifts.

May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty (evenings, weekends, and holidays).

**Other Important Information**
- Hours of work: Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization’s flexible working policies.
- Will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules, and regulations.
- Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- May be assigned other duties that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the employee.
- May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training. Position may be coded as mission essential.
- A 6-month probationary period will be required.
- Overtime may be required.
- May be required to travel overnight to US or other countries in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
