An opportunity has arisen for us to appoint an experienced senior leader as our Head of Programme Delivery and Assurance. We are looking for someone with experience of programme management and assuring delivery of large-scale transformation programmes to work across our organisation and support our work withing the Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System. You will be responsible for developing an annual portfolio of programmes and projects to deliver the Trust’s strategic objectives over the five year course of the Trust Strategy (2023 - 2028), ensuring that these reflect the Ten Year Strategy for the Integrated Care System, Five Year Joint Forward Plan and annual NHS England priorities. These programmes will be transformational, improving the quality and effectiveness of our services, through an evidence-based and outcomes-focussed approach which, above all, will make a major contribution to the health outcomes of our local population and the working lives of our colleagues within the organisation.

We are looking for someone to lead the continued development and delivery of a ‘best in class’ programme management office (PMO) function as a Trust-wide resource and centre of excellence. The PMO provides programme management capacity and capability, programme delivery assurance and expert advice and support to colleagues across the organisation.

We are looking for a leader who believes that transformational change should be evidence-based and outcomes-focus with active engagement of local communities, patients, service users and their families to ensure that our services are inclusive and reflect the super-diversity of the population we serve.

You will be part of the Strategy and Partnerships Senior Leadership Team, working in a matrix model with other members of the SLT to lead the Strategy & Partnerships team and will work alongside and networking with Executive Chief Officers and senior leaders across the organisation to ensure we achieve our vision for Best Care: Healthy Communities
