**Overview**:
Working closely with the Head of Partnerships and Business Development, you will take an operational lead in delivering Oxford Business Colleges employer engagement strategy to support students to positive graduate outcomes as a Careers & Employer Engagement Officer.

Oxford Business College is one of the fastest growing and exciting companies within the UK’s Higher Education sector. Founded in 1985, today OBC delivers degree qualifications working in close partnership with multiple prestigious Universities, including Buckingham New University, University of West London and Ravensbourne University from across its campuses in Oxford, West London, Slough, Nottingham and Coventry.

You will work to identify and engage with businesses across the geographic areas that OBC has campuses to create opportunities that enhance the student experience throughout and beyond their studies and onto successful graduate employment.

**Duties**:

- To promote employability skills and professional development opportunities to students throughout their studies.
- To support students in preparing for graduate employment by facilitating appropriate skills development sessions.
- To attend and promote employment and careers events to OBC students.
- To maintain regular communication with graduate employers in geographic areas OBC operates.
- To generate links with local and national employers that result in opportunities for OBC students.
- To coordinate and host events that improve students career prospects and opportunities for graduate level employment with positive impact on graduate outcomes.
- To work with local enterprises partnerships and the chamber of commerce to understand local business needs and promote graduate employment opportunities.
- To create and present costed proposals for employer engagement activities with consideration for positive impact on student experience and graduate outcomes.
- To work with programme leaders and coordinators to ensure that relevant employability competencies are embedded into the curriculum.
- To support the academic teams to identify real world business projects.
- To attend and report to appropriate meetings and committees.
- To follow and comply with all OBC policies and health and safety.
- Maintain regular communication with University partner careers departments to co-ordinate shared services that OBC students can access.

**Desirable Qualifications & Experience**
- Degree Educated with professional qualifications in Careers Education, Information and Guidance or similar qualifications.
- Experience of working within a University or College careers guidance service or graduate recruitment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to use initiative and work under pressure to manage your own workload.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce clear and concise written and oral reports.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
