Job Title: Community Centre Supervisor (Part-Time, Evenings)

Location: Suffolk Community Centre, Belfast

Hours Per Week: 19.30

Part Time, Evenings 18:00 - 22:00

**Job Summery**:
As the Community Centre Supervisor (Part-Time, Evenings), your primary responsibility is to oversee access to the centre and its environs, handle inquiries, maintain cleanliness, and ensure accurate documentation during evening hours.

**Your Duties**:

- Address inquiries from community groups and the public during evening shifts.
- Manage booking forms, issue copies of hire conditions, and maintain a booking diary.
- Handle booking money, issue receipts, and securely manage cash in accordance with policies.
- Complete necessary documentation, reports, and official returns during evening shifts.
- Set up equipment and furniture for evening bookings, ensuring proper care and risk minimization.
- Act as the main key-holder during evening hours, responsible for opening, closing, and controlling access to the centre.
- Conduct health and safety checks, including PAT certification for equipment and Fire Log Procedures during evening shifts.
- Manage supplies, inventory, and stock usage during evening hours, following council policies.
- Report and follow up on major repairs or defects, and perform minor repairs as needed during evening shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness of the centre during evening shifts, including removal of litter and hygiene upkeep in kitchen and toilet areas.
- Manage Assistant Supervisors and temporary staff during evening shifts, including scheduling and administration.
- Contribute to teamwork and the delivery of community support plans and objectives during evening shifts.
- Adhere to council policies and procedures, including customer care, equal opportunities, and health and safety during evening shifts.
- Participate in training and induction programs, and support human resource management procedures during evening shifts.
- Uphold the reputation and public profile of the council through exemplary conduct during evening shifts.

**Your Profile**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Operation of facilities, ideally in a supervisory capacity, including knowledge of health and safety procedures, cleaning and maintenance, and associated administrative duties and dealing with members of the public.

**Special Skills and Attributes**:

- Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with diverse groups.
- Organisational skills, with the ability to manage bookings, documentation, and supplies.
- Attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to conduct necessary checks.
- Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Team player, capable of contributing to a collaborative environment.
