**Weddings and Events Coordinator - The Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford**

**Main Areas of Responsibility**
- Efficiently run a busy wedding and events department covering every stage of enquiry.
- Offer the client a ‘concept to completion’ wedding planning service.
- Conduct show-rounds with prospective clients promoting the hotel and maximizing the opportunity for increased revenue and up sell.
- Track and proactively monitor all wedding enquiries and track performance against previous years.
- Routinely review the Hotel’s wedding packages to increase profitability.
- Review current events and monitor sales trends.
- Regularly assess competition/new entrants/market trends.
- Proactively monitor key wedding planning dates, conduct final details meetings, produce the BEO and ensure all event instructions are communicated effectively to other departments.
- Organise and host the wedding open evenings and wedding fayres internally and externally.
- Be proactive in looking at new marketing ideas.
- Prepare reports for fortnightly sales meetings focussing on actual revenue vs forecast as well as a detailed report on conversion rates.
- Work in collaboration with the operational team to coordinate the weddings and events.
- Whilst it is not a pre-requisite that you are present on the wedding day, you must have the flexibility to be present if and when required.

**Package**
- Basic salary of up to £21k (dependent on experience)
- Bonus based on revenue generation
- 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
- Staff discount in all Group venues

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£21,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bradford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Event Management: 1 year (preferred)
