Nursery Room Leader

This setting based in **Abingdon **are looking for a Room Leader to head up the Baby Room.

This is a **full time position **Monday to Friday **40 hours per week**
**Salary **£23,880 gross per annum and above
**Main Responsibilities**:
- To understand what constitutes quality care and education and have a good knowledge of child development and the areas and age ranges of the EYFS
- To be prepared to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage; planning, delivering, observing, recording and assessing and to ensure that best practice is employed within teaching
- To work as part of a team in all aspects, working effectively within the whole nursery school team giving support to colleagues and the manager
- To show personal and professional integrity and confidentiality at all times
- To provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment for the children
- To organise and maintain the classroom environment and resources effectively and maintain appropriate presentation of all school areas alongside your team
- To provide an environment free from gender, sexual and racial stereotyping
- To build and maintain strong links with parents
- To keep written records on children and liaise with parents as required
- To attend and contribute to Staff Meetings, training sessions, Inset days and any specific events as requested by the manager
- To maintain regulatory certification and keep abreast of legislation in the Early years
- To have a high regard for the culture of the nursery and Chatsworth Schools
- To carry out any other duties as required by the manager or Director of Early years for the benefit of the nursery community and reputation
