Tutor/assessor (Early Years)

**About the Role**

The college currently has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Eary Years tutor/assessor.

As a variable hours tutor/assessor you will be part of the our Early Years and Supporting Teaching and Learning delivery team.

Working closely with the Head of Care, Counselling and Education, you will be assigned to a suitable course/s for which you will plan and deliver high quality learning programmes and/or assess learners on placement.

You will be responsible for the management of coursework and ePortfolios via an [online] learning platform. You will complete standard quality assurance tasks related to course planning and management, learner attendance and punctuality, learner progression, assessment and evaluation.

You will be invited to attend regular 1:1 and team meetings. You may also assist with learner recruitment processes for example, initial assessment, learner interviews and college Open Days.

**About You**

You will be passionate about supporting learners on their journey into employment in early years and education settings. You will hold a Level 4 (or above) teaching qualification and an appropriate assessor award and have experience of work-based assessment.

You will be responsible for the planning, organisation and implementation of the assessment of learners over an academic year, under the direction of the Head of Care, Counselling and Education and Lead Internal Quality Assurer. You will manage the process of assessment through an online platform and take part in regular standardisation.

When assessing in the workplace, you will be responsible for liaising with placement supervisors to ensure the monitoring and recording of learner progress and for maintaining records of progress.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £28.28 per hour
