Currently I am working with a globally established manufacturer who have been providing an excellent service to their customers for several years, and yet still continue to grow and deliver. With a number of brands within the organisation, and a long-standingteam of employees, this organisation is one of the most desirable within the local area.
Role:
This role sits part of the wider HR team and reports directly into the Group HR Director and will have responsibility for 1 direct report. While collaboration with the wider organisation and have key relationships with all departmental managers.
The Payroll Managers role will be to ensure that all employees are paid on time ensuring transmission is made via BACS as appropriate and to complete all statutory requirements by dates given from HM Revenue.
- To ensure all weekly and monthly paid operatives are paid on time, accurately as appropriate.
- To ensure all statutory Information is available from the employee, P45's etc.
- To complete all fields necessary in the payroll system, to enable to the employee to be paid correctly.
- To check pay date for any leavers, confirming correct holiday entitlement taken or paid. Complete statutory requirements - P45 -P60 information.
- Deadline for all input must be two clear days prior to the Pay Date (Excluding a Saturday or Sunday.)
- Liaise with the HR team to ensure all applicable information has been received with relevant confirmation signatures for payments of any additional payments.
- To produce monthly reports and ad hoc reports as required.
- Analyse and report on payroll data as appropriate.
- Calculate pay increments, overtime, and holiday pay as appropriate.
- Ensuring all tax year end data is completed in a timely manner in line with payroll timing and HMRC.
- Upload pension data from the payroll system to the pension provider on a weekly / monthly basis as appropriate and authorise payments.
**Requirements**:
In order to be considered for this role you will:

- Level 5 CIPP qualification or equivalent
- Educated to A Level Standard or equivalent.
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths, English, and ICT - Grades 4 - 9
- Be familiar with computerised Payroll Systems
- Excellent PC skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge and understanding the timings of all aspects of weekly and monthly payroll systems.

- excellent communication skills and be open and approachable.
- Have good leadership ability and be able to change styles accordingly and be able to give appropriate recognition or reward for excellent performance in order to improve motivation.
