LCHS NHS Trust is able to offer an exciting opportunity to an individual who meets the job specification to work within our Apprentice Centre which resides within our Learning and Organisational Development Team working across Lincolnshire. The successful applicant will be joining our Apprentice Centre delivering all Functional Skills from entry level to level 2, including Skills for Life programmes. These programmes are aimed to support our current/future health and care workforce across Lincolnshire.

The role is designed to enhance the quality of the learning delivered and prepare individuals for their next step in their development as part of a Lincolnshire strategy of ‘growing our own’. You will have a qualification in teaching along with experience of delivering Functional Skills and Skills for Life programmes to adult learners.

Expert in the delivery of Functional Skills and Skills for Life programmes and possesses the relevant knowledge, theory and understanding to support learners throughout the programme of study.

Supports initial skills assessment of Functional Skills and actively involved in the induction of new starters, including any necessary administration required.

Engage and motivate learners to ensure that the course content is well received and understood. Collating feedback from learners to inform training evaluation and development.

Ensure that all teaching is delivered according to lesson plans/schemes of work provided by the Functional Skills Assessor.

Prepare all components of the courses, ensuring that the relevant equipment and printed materials are available for the learners to use and that the learning spaces are set up for the delivery of training.

Support the development of new programmes and creating marketing materials to support business development and income generation

Maintain own personal skills and knowledge relevant to the courses taught.

Deploy effective communication strategies to ensure that information and knowledge is imparted sensitively according to needs of patients, staff, and learners in training.

To maintain professional registration, competence, and continual professional development by appropriate means e.g., attendance at professional forums, conferences and learning events

Function as an invigilator to support ongoing functional skills development
