You will be developing, implementing and controlling management systems to monitor safety, health, environmental, quality and corporate risk across ICL UK's entities: ICL Boulby and ICL UK Sales. This is a key position in the organization and is part of the territory Leadership team.**About the role**:
As our Head of SHEQ you will be responsible for managing and promoting the safety, health, environment, and risk management programs of the site, in accordance with corporate, company and regulatory policies. Areas of responsibility include strategic leadership and support for safety and health initiatives, leading continuous improvement in management and risk management systems, leading preparedness processes and emergency preparedness. You will be a champion for Human and Organizational Principles (HOP) and its engagement across the business.- Additional responsibilities would be:_
- Ensure compliance with EHS processes through close liaison with management and all functionaries in the organization, including company headquarters, contractors, external parties.
- Implement risk management programs, including major hazards as defined under UK Legislation to ensure hazards and risks are controlled
- Hazard Identification
- Risk Assessment and Prosess safety management
- Control Measures (hierarchy of controls)
- Implement and control the Competence Management System to support the appropriate risk control measures
- Ensure all incidents and accidents are suitably investigated and recommendations implemented
- You will report to VP ICL Potash UK, located in UK, and a dotted line to VP Global EHS.**About you**:
We are looking for a head of SHEQ that enables a people centric culture driven by integrity, accountability and empowerment which delivers continuous success and growth for all. To be able to achieve these goals we are looking for the following skills and requirements:
- Multiple years of relevant experience in EHS management and employee management at a senior level within a major hazard environment such as Mining, Chemical (COMAH), Oil/Gas
- Valid safety certification (depending on country regulatory requirements)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills including influencing and change management.
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor's degree, advantage for a master's degree in a relevant area.
