Our client is a diverse, passionate and multi-disciplinary team working across all of England and Wales with an aim to coordinate and enhance the police services response to vulnerability.

They are recruiting to analyst roles across multiple different work-streams: Violence Against Women and Girls, Domestic Homicide and Analytical Capability. These roles will be working to provide analysis which supports strategic decision making within policing.

Although the roles are within different workstreams across them, the work of all the teams interconnect and there will be occasions where the teams are expected to work together on fulfilling strategic analysis or where they will be required to support eachother across work streams depending on demand.

They have a range of professionals on the team: people from the charity sector, academics, police officers and staff all with wide ranging expertise. There are opportunities as an Analyst within them to work closely with colleagues across the team and gainexposure to the wealth of experience and knowledge that they have. They work closely with the National Police Chief’s Council and all analytical roles provide opportunities to influence national policing in the Vulnerability arena.

Although this advert is for a generic Analytical position, they encourage applicants to state which analytical role they are interested in, based on their interests and experience.

This is a homeworking role, with a requirement to travel and work at other establishments nationally as may be reasonably required. There will be an expectation for occasional overnight stays. Travel and expenses will be reimbursed in line with police staffcouncil conditions of service. If you are working from London, London weighting will apply.

Hours of work are various, and this is negotiable. The post is offered on a fixed term contract. They are also recruiting for potential future vacancies

They were launched in 2018 in response to a growing and changing demand picture across policing. This was with a view to developing the evidence base and related policing responses to the abuse, neglect and exploitation of children and adults at risk toreduce offending and improve outcomes for those impacted. Funded by the Home Office, they have grown rapidly and is expected to employ around 60 people this financial year. They work in collaboration with a range of wider partners to support policing’s leadersdevelop joined up evidence-based responses to some of policing’s most demanding and complex areas.
