To ensure that product quality is assessed post packing, to ensure that it meets specification, and is at the highest standard for our customers
- To ensure any product that does not meet the required quality standard is placed on hold, and corrected
- To complete all other checks as required to meet company and legislative standards.
- To comply with Company Policy to ensure the adherence on all matters concerning Health & Safety.

Assess quality of products following the slaughtering and carcass trimming (including offal), to ensure that it meets the highest of standards for our customers.
- Carry out internal audits as per the site agreed schedules. Assist with close outs with NC's raised during internal and external third party or customer visits/audits
- Support in creating a positive attitude and culture around food safety and quality
- Liaise with key members of the supervisory and management team to ensure any product issues are communicated and fed back to drive improvement
- Provide regular feedback to the Site TM with regards to trends of issues
- Ensure product meets the required food safety standards
- Take a proactive approach to improvement on site, suggestions to the Site TM.
- Ensure all recording is done in a matter that ensures accurate, legible and up to date information is given at all times
- Contribute to site KPIs including waste control and complaint reduction in both Production and Quality departments.
- To comply with Company Policy to ensure the adherence on all matters concerning Health & Safety
- Responsible for ensuring that operations carried out in their area are in line with legislation, customer specifications and site policy, ensuring that product is produced safely and of a high quality - in line with HACCP principles
- Ensure procedural checks are carried out to agreed procedures and schedules. Personally (e.g., CCP checks - temperature, metal detection, or other e.g., gas testing, allergen, protein, or environmental swabbing, equipment calibrations). By ensuring conformance by various departmental personnel.
- Ensure all products are labelled and produced to specification. By observation of operations and sign-off of process control paperwork.
- Attend meetings when required by the manager.
- Collect, store, process and/or analyse, as appropriate; (list not exhaustive). Shelf life, Microbiological, organoleptic or speciation samples. Protein/allergen swabbing.
- This is not an exhaustive list and you may be required to carry out any other additional duties as requested by the site Technical Manager.
- Full driving license desired
- Auditing/ Red meat manufacturing background
- Food Safety level 3
- HACCP Level 3
- Lead auditing recognition

**Priorities**: Taking initiative, attention to detail, understanding of production processes, good working knowledge of word and excel.

**Pace**: Able to work in a fast-paced environment, courage to challenge and also ensure completion of tasks to the correct timescales given.
