Trainee Asbestos Surveyor

Vintec Labs are actively seeking a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor to join our growing Surveying team at our Watford office. Based on the prestigious Building Research Establishment site, Vintec Laboratories Ltd has been trading for over 30 years in the asbestos testing and surveying industry. During the training programme, you will spend dedicated time with the Survey Manager, along with time spent shadowing the Lead Surveyors, understanding how to conduct surveys. Once you can demonstrate satisfactory knowledge and ability you will start with simpler surveys, building up to the more complex surveys.
All in-house training is provided on the job, and in the office. During this training period you will be required to undertake the formal qualification for Asbestos Surveying which is by provided an external training company and we will arrange this for you.
We provide a very supporting training and development programme with the aim of getting you fully qualified and up to speed with all aspects of the role. Your progress will be monitored and reviewed regularly by our experienced team.

**Responsibilities (once fully qualified)**
- Carrying out management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys of commercial, domestic and some industrial premises
- Conducting bulk samplings as required
- Compiling and checking reports
- Participating in auditing and re-surveys as required
- Liaising with clients and other internal departments
**Skills, Qualifications & Experience**:
**ESSENTIAL**
- An interest in the environmental industry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well independently, but have a strong team player attitude
- Organised, with a key eye for detail
- Full UK driving license
- Good level of education up to A Level, ideally degree educated
- Proficient with Microsoft Office package
