**The role: HSE Advisor**

The purpose of our HSE Advisor is to support the development and ensure the delivery of the client health, safety and environmental strategy, policy and processes, supporting the client team.

You will play a key role in management and monitoring of compliance in line with both client, CBRE and legislative requirements.

**Key responsibilities are as follows**:

- Support in the development of the H&S Strategy, Plan, Lead and support initiatives and best practice activities in all areas of H&S Management
- Assist as necessary with reviews of existing Policies, Procedures, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
- Provide guidance and practical expertise on all matters related to Health, Safety & Environment, ensuring there is appropriate day-to-day support and guidance to the customer and CBRE as required
- Act as the focal point for specialist H&S expertise on the account and to understand corporate and legislative requirements
- Develop and evaluate key business processes across the account to ensure a robust H&S model
- Ensure the development and maintenance of the training strategy to ensure compliance and provide regular management reporting to the customer & CBRE QHSE Lead
- Produce monthly H&S performance reports for the customer as required
- Maintain and report on the integrity and compliance of the audit programme with all business wide policy and strategy through client systems
- Ensure the timely completion of all accidents, incidents, near misses and corrective actions in line with CBRE and customer requirements
- Provide support with accident and incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Deliver toolbox talks, conduct workshops and hold knowledge calls to promote H&S initiatives and campaigns
- Bring to the attention of the customer any hazards or risks not addressed in the Company Safety Policy
- Act as a point of contact for all external or Group Internal Audit visits and provide support where necessary

**Person Specification**:

- Formal qualification in Health and Safety management and Environmental management
- Understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental legal framework
- Membership of IOSH at a minimum of technical level or working towards
- Practical and demonstrable knowledge liaising with enforcement agency / insurers
- Practical experience in Risk, Incident and Investigation Management
- Event investigation & analysis including root cause analysis
- Knowledge and management of training programmes
- Experience working in Financial Sector or Property and facilities environment (Desirable)
