**Quality Assurance Analyst Job Purpose To assure the quality of a product teams delivery, by supporting the team in delivery their roadmap and the Lead QA in implementing the strategy for quality, **Dimensions** **Responsibilityfor software quality across the business involving millions of pounds of investment.** Reports To** Lead QA

**Other Contextual Information / Special Features Skills**:

- Experience of manual and automated testing
- Able to triage, repeat and identify software issues in test environments
- Able to describe a software issue succinctly and coherently in order to expedite their resolution
- Able to make judgment calls about whether a software issue is tolerable in production and if the impact of that is tolerable.
- Able to quickly categories issues based on their impact, and likelihood.
- Able to plan how to test a feature and make appropriate decisions on the approach and technology
- Able to communicate a complicated problem succinctly accurately and coherently to a team with different skill sets.
- Exhibit cross functional behaviour and support other competencies within the company
- Able to negotiate and compromise solutions and find the balance between best practice, expediency and longer term maintenance costs
- Demonstrate, discuss and permeate current good practice in the skills specific to your professional family across other members of your professional family

**Accountability**:

- Assure previously identified defects are addressed or the stakeholders are happy that the impact can be tolerated
- Assure that a features acceptance criteria are met
- Assure that releases are of high quality and act as approval to deploy
- Collaborate with the product team members to identify and describe defects
- Ensure that regression test packs are maintained
- Support the BA in the elaboration of requirements with the developers
- Take responsibility for non functional testing
- Write acceptance criteria for features that are executable
- You can measure the coverage of your functional and non functional testing
- You take responsibility for the entire lifecycle of delivery from idea, marketing, sales and operation
- Manage your own training requirements
- Attend industry events and share the value with your colleagues
