We are looking for a Quality Assurance ESG Analyst to join our successful ESG team. This is a Home based role with some travel to your parent office required.
Role and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for developing and updating Quality Assurance (QA) procedures for a range of ESG services, to meet the latest regulations, guidance and best practice standards. Also, you will QA clients’ deliverables to include TCFD; ESG assessments; SECR; Climate Scenarios; Scope 1, 2 and 3 calculations and reports; and Net Zero Strategies. In addition, you will conduct ISO 9001 internal audits and external assurance services for clients, for example, verification of GHG emissions to meet ISO 14064.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Review and keep up to date with new policies and legislation, associated with ESG services.
* Develop and update ESG procedures, in line with regulations, guidance and best practice standards. For example, SECR and TCFD disclosures.
* Identify opportunities and make recommendations for improving ESG workstreams.
* Provide training to staff members, as part of continuous improvement measures.
* Strong planning, prioritisation and communication skills, to liaise with colleagues to meet client deadlines.
* Project manage QA services, to help manage your individual and team’s workload.
* Responsible for QA checks and audit trails for client deliverables, to ensure there are no omissions or misstatements. For example, Scope 1, 2 and 3 calculations and reports; climate scenario analysis; and net-zero strategies.
* Conduct external assurance services for clients. For example, verification of GHG emissions to meet ISO 14064.
* Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
* Degree in STEM / Humanities discipline or equivalent professional experience.
* Awareness of and interest in ESG, climate change and assurance.
* Ability to QA client deliverables.
* Advanced user of the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong report writing capabilities, to write QA processes.
* Ability to work across multiple projects.
Desirable:
* 2+ years of experience in consultancy or analytical roles, focusing on carbon or broader environmental management.
* Knowledge of energy efficiency, renewable energy technology and climate models.
* Experience in conducting audits, for example, ISO 9001 or ISO 14001.
* Experience in conducting assurance services for clients, for example, ISO 14064.
* Experience with conducting carbon footprint calculations (Scopes 1, 2 and 3).
* Experience in providing training to staff members.
