**Company overview and job purpose**:
Lightning Fibre is the leading local alternative network provider of Full Fibre broadband in East Sussex. We are headquartered in Eastbourne and have an existing broadband network in East Sussex. Our broadband network can supply our standard installed customers with anything up to 10 Gigabits in both download either, uploads.

We are a community orientated network operator, whose aim is to significantly upgrade our regions broadband infrastructure, providing local jobs, keeping local £’s in the areas we serve and acts as a vital enabler to grow our digital local economy, thereby creating further quality jobs. Lightning Fibre has bold plans afoot, with Eastbourne and Hastings at the forefront.

**The purpose of this role is to undertake Lightning Fibre’s traditional and PIA planning, including updating our GIS asset management system**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- MDU block cabling, with network and typology consideration.
- Front of House representation, offering a clear and defined technical representation.
- Ensure Lightning Fibre’s compliance with all Openreach PIA engineering principles.
- Facilitate Lightning Fibre’s PIA process which includes but is not limited to; NOIs, reporting and network adjustments.
- Optimising traditional design with PIA opportunities including use of Poles for last drop.
- Design through to build co-ordination in collaboration with the wider operations team.
- Progress reporting and accurate forecasting for in-house and external work streams.

External Contractor management, providing clear monthly progression of the MDU design work stream.

**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements**:

- Access network planning experience - Civil design, building regulations and fibre optic architecture experience.
- External site survey experience; NRSWA, Unit 2 Street Works Signing, Lighting & Guarding accreditation
- Experience and proficient user of GIS tools, specifically for FTTx design (e.g., 3GIS)
- Experience with Microsoft office software (Excel, Visio & Word)
- Working knowledge of PON and splitter capacity planning in both an underground and overhead setting
- Knowledge and accreditation for working with the Openreach PIA product
- Demonstrable knowledge within the Construction, telecommunication and/or Utilities industry
- Full UK Driving License

A team player, highly organised, confident, good communicator, resourceful, commercially aware and delivery orientated.

**Salary**: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
