Associate Practitioner, Point of Care Testing, Band 4, Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle

Support biomedical scientists in the day to day activities of the Point of Care Testing service, including performing diagnostic tests according to protocol, interpreting and escalating routine results and acting accordingly within agreed protocols, supervising and training support staff.

Provision of a comprehensive Point of Care Testing service to North Cumbria Hospitals and primary care. The service offers support, training, troubleshooting and installation of diagnostic devices at the point of care.

Perform monitoring of daily analyser start-up procedures, via a middleware software package.

Operating point of care devices as required under supervision, following standard operating procedures.

**Standard Check**: £26 + Administration cost of £4.80 = £30.80. Deducted at £9.80 from 1st month salary and £7 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

**Enhanced Check**: £44 + administration cost of £4.80 = £48.80. Deducted at £15.80 from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
