We have registered an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join this exceptional organisation that has a wonderful ethos, providing high quality financial, business and accounting support

Starting ASAP, you will work as part of a dedicated finance team and will be responsible for a range of duties. Your hours will be 37 hours per week, during term time only. The role is expected to be ongoing until the end of April, however there is the possibilityfor it to be extended to July.

Due to the nature of the role and organisation, it will be necessary to take out an enhanced DBS before you can start in the role, as well as an adult/child workforces check.

**Temporary Finance Officer Responsibilities**

Your duties will include:

- Assist the Finance Manager in the implementation of robust systems, the operation of the finance department, undertaking a wide range of financial processing and related activities
- Run an efficient purchase and sales ledger with day-to-day responsibility for the management of financial transactions and procedures
- Assist with payroll process
- Keep accurate records for all transactions
- Provide complex administrative and organisational support to colleagues
- Undertake specific projects and initiatives
- Build positive and professional relationships with colleagues to promote effective ways of working, building capacity and sharing knowledge
- Make purchases on behalf of the company, complying with the procurement processes
- Compliance with Data Protection regulations
- Report any irregularities to the Chief Operating Officer
- Carry out other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Chief Operating Officer

**Temporary Finance Officer Requirements**
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Numerate, with an ability to work accurately and confidently with numbers
- Experience of working in a professional business environment
- Experience of working in a team
- Exemplary standards of personal integrity, behaviour, professionalism, and discretion
- A clear understanding of the need to complete detailed work with a high standard of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills: able to work and communicate effectively with varied groups of stakeholders
- Methodical, systematic and careful approach to tasks; efficient and well organised
- Self-motivated, able to work on a varied workload
- A respectful approach to children and young people with SEND
- Commitment to safeguarding, and the welfare of children and young people
