**About this role**

**This job is 42 hours per week, 4 days on, 4 days off (12 hour shifts 7:00am - 7:00pm)**

**Key Responsibilities**

To ensure all of our Residents, Guests and Contractors, receive exceptional Customer Service and Care, consistently presenting a professional and courteous approach, as a face of the business.
- Dealing with day-to-day maintenance issues - this will range from basic carpentry, changing light & electrical fittings, basic plumbing tasks, and painting.
- Carrying out scheduled weekly & monthly Fire, Water, and other H&S checks, including fire alarm testing, checking water temperatures, weekly flushing, and emergency lighting tests.
- Maintaining the presentation of the external area of the building and keeping them in excellent condition.
- Ensuring all storage rooms, risers, and plant rooms, are clean and secured. Faulty or broken equipment is to be reported to the Maintenance Manager.
- Ensuring the Bin Stores are tidy and empty bins are rotated daily. Assist with the moving of refuse, white goods, mattresses, and furniture in a safe manner.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure excellent communication amongst all areas; be proactive and willing to assist other departments when the business requires it.
- Have a desire and ability to improve your own knowledge and abilities through ongoing training, and undertake all mandatory online training as required (e.g. fire aid, health and safety, GDPR)
- Work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures, and countries.Please note that due to the nature of the business and this specific role there are a large number of ad-hoc tasks which occur throughout the year - the JD is not exhaustive.

The nature of the role means that you may be required to work outside of your hours (move in weekends, summer etc). Travel may be required.

**Essential**
- A good command of written and spoken English
- Eligible to work in the UK

**Preferred**
- Sound understanding of electrics, plumbing, carpentry and gas equipment.
- H&S testing experience

**Exceptional**
- Basic electrical, plumbing, building works certification (NVQ or equivalent) Previous experience of managing a preventative maintenance plan
- Experience in a similar environment with a proven record of delivering results.
