**The Department / School / College**

NEON is the national organisation supporting widening access to higher education in the UK for those from under-represented backgrounds. Founded in 2012 NEON has over 150 organisations as members including over 100 universities and delivers over 30 professional development events per year to nearly 1000 people. NEON’s staff are based at the University of West London in the Centre for Inequality and Levelling Up**.**

**The Role**
- Planning, managing, and delivering NEON’s online and physical professional development programme to include identifying presenters, marketing to members, recording and processing of participant information and ensuring the smooth running of the events when they are delivered.
- Production and writing content for publications associated with the NEON professional development programme including the programmes and reports regarding the annual conference and awards.
- Processing of accreditation awards associated with the NEON professional development programme.
- Monitoring and forecasting income and expenditure related to the professional development programme and NEON membership subscriptions. This will include undertaking day-to-day financial tasks such as sending invoices, keeping accurate records of expenditure, and providing budget reports as required**.**

**The Person**

**Essential**
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent.
- A demonstrable understanding of widening access to higher education/social mobility or educational inequality and the nature of barriers to access and success in higher education for learners from disadvantaged and/or underrepresented groups.
- Experience of delivering events in a professional context.
- Experience of keeping accurate administrative data including data related to income and expenditure.

**Desirable**
- Postgraduate Degree or equivalent
- Designing and production of webpages.
- Experience of working in a membership organisation.
