Job title: Buyer within the fastener industry.
Responsible for buying and procurement of core and non-core stock together with supporting all know functions within the Purchasing Department.
- **Principal Responsibilities**:_
1. Source and develop new suppliers worldwide both core and non-core within the company policy.
2. Purchase from competitive global supplier base.
3. Assist with expediting purchase orders both UK and Overseas for on time delivery.
4. Introduce new systems of efficiency and communications within the company.
5. Assist and develop purchasing contracts including Incoterms, payment terms and incidental costs to each contract placed.
6. Assist with all UK and Overseas Transport contracts.
7. Support the Sales Team in preparing special enquiries for the UK and Overseas suppliers.
8. Managing technical traceability for core stock lines in conjunction with the certification department.
9. Assisting with stock and cash control for a £5 million inventory portfolio.
10. Buying and managing of stationary products, consumables and packaging for the company.
11. Monitor and record surcharges on a monthly basis for raw materials.
- **Essential Skills**:_
- ERP Min/Max purchasing control responsibility
- Minimum of 5 years working within Purchasing and Procurement preferably within the Petrochemical and Subsea Industry. Knowledge of raw material/metals advantageous.
**Salary: Between £25k-£30k pa dependant on experience**
