Position: SLD Teaching Assistant (KS3) - Part-Time 2 Days (13 hrs)

Location: Slough - Special needs school

Contract: Contract

Start Date: September 4th

Committed to providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment for students aged 5 to Post 16 in we believe in creating an inclusive community that celebrates diversity and caters to the unique needs of all our learners, particularly those with Profound multiple learning difficulties, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties. Our dedicated staff are focused on helping students build self-confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their full potential.

Role and Responsibilities:
As an SLD Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SLD in their academic and personal development. Your responsibilities will include:

- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to plan and implement tailored learning strategies for students with SLD.
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, both inside and outside the classroom, to reinforce learning and foster a positive learning environment.
- Assisting with the differentiation of materials and adapting resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress, providing feedback, and contributing to progress reports.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with students with Severe Learning difficulties, ideally in a KS3 setting.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, teaching assistance, or special educational needs. TEAM TEACCH or PREVENT training desirable
- A flexible and patient approach to supporting learners with diverse needs and ability to adapt to changing environments
