**Join our team of passionate reading tutors and volunteers to make a difference in the lives of children We are seeking dedicated individuals to spend 45 minutes to an hour a few times per week reading with primary school students. Make a meaningful impact and improve literacy skills.**

**Location**:The roles are online, but you must be able to travel to our Beckenham centre for training.

Hours: 45 minutes to 1 hour a few times per week

About the role: We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team of reading volunteers. As a reading volunteer, you will be making a meaningful impact in the lives of primary school children by helping to improve their literacy skills. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the community and inspire a love of reading in the next generation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read to children in a primary school setting for 45 minutes to an hour a few times per week
- Assist students in developing reading skills and comprehension
- Encourage and inspire a love of reading in students
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide the best possible reading experience for students

**Requirements**:

- Passion for reading and education
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Flexibility and adaptability in a school setting

This is a volunteer opportunity and there is no compensation offered. However, the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of children and improving literacy skills is priceless.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Volunteer
Part-time hours: 5 per week

**Salary**: £5.00-£10.00 per hour
